Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)

CFC-charity

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace giving charity campaign. The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient and an effective way for Federal employees, postal workers, military personnel and Federal retirees to support eligible non-profit organizations. Pledges and contributions to Medical Research Charities (MRC CFC# 10899) or one of our member organizations help continue to fund lifesaving research on breast cancer, multiple sclerosis, asthma, COPD and over 30 other diseases.

MRC has over 25 years of experience assisting charities and research foundations in the CFC, which each year reaches over 4 million government, military and postal employees.  MRC also provides additional exposure for its member charities beyond the CFC through private sector corporations and social media efforts.

The generosity of donors has resulted in successful medical breakthroughs that would otherwise not be possible.  MRC, our charities and the patients and families we strive to serve are deeply grateful for the support of each and every donor.

Why MRC?

Your donation to GuideStar Gold-rated MRC or an MRC member charity can be made with confidence that it will be used to help find effective treatments and cures for diseases. We rigorously screen research-driven charities and only select those organizations that meet our thorough review process. Our goal is to assure donors that their contributions will directly support medical research that makes a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Medical Research Charities’ admission requirements go beyond those of the CFC and include an annual review of each applicant charity’s overhead, percentage of revenue devoted to program expenses, amount dedicated to research, fundraising percentage, CEO compensation and more. To us, integrity matters. We won’t accept charities that don’t meet our stringent standards.

We put our charities under a microscope, so you don’t have to.

Words from our Charities

“We are a proud member of MRC and we greatly appreciate the hard work and due diligence they provide on behalf of their member charities. We sincerely appreciate their rigorous admission requirements to qualify as a member charity. The revenue generated from the CFC is of tremendous importance to LRF in helping to fund our mission. MRC is innovative, creative and collaborative.”
